Hello, I'm Olaf. Welcome to my federated wiki.

I connect ideas and people and have always done so, naturally.

As of 1998, I have been mostly active in the financial sector, as a sustainability leader and executive in co-operative banking in the Netherlands and Brazil. Currently, I head the group sustainability risk function at a German asset manager.

Before entering the financial sector, I have studied, researched and taught intensively in the fields of business studies, public administration, organizational sociology and design, knowledge management, business process improvement.

Born and raised in the Netherlands, I currently live in the Taunus-Frankfurt am Main region, in the State of Hesse, Germany.

Key theme in my professional career has been the nexus Knowlege-Systems-Sustainability-Society.

Systems-Knowledge-Sustainability Nexus

I am particularly interested in contributing to how people are able to co-operativelz join forces and organize to enhance their health, well-being, living together and environment.

From the systems sciences I gained the insight that solutions depend on understanding how social systems. For real life experience to become solutions to effectively apply in different situations, Pattern Languages provide a format to capture, describe and format solutions in.

Co-operativism and Commoning provide ample example how co-design and joint action are able to work for communities in ways that governments of non-co-operative business could not provide.

From philosophy, art, ethics, literature, sustainability science and systems sciensts, I draw inspiration from what how to create good solutions that add sustained value and resilience to people's lives.
